Comic Book Heroes (CBH) stand out amongst today’s music acts with undeniable talent and a mature, yet fresh solid rock sound. The band is composed of four long time friends, Collin, Steve, Ned and Koz. CBH came together when they were just 11 yrs old, and after many years of hard work and organic growth, they have recently emerged as one of the most promising young rock bands, playing hundreds of shows for thousands of fans across the country. Their music is guitar driven, modern rock with strong hooks and mature vocals; their sound is rooted in classic rock, the common denominator amongst the band members.
After being named a Radio Disney “Next Big Thing” artist in January 2009, CBH continued their break-out year with “Catch Me if You Can” becoming a top 15 hit single on Radio Disney, and featured on iTunes as the “Discovery Download of the Week,” garnering more than 160,000 free downloads. CBH also enjoyed a successful summer tour including a stop on the Van’s Warped tour and volunteering their time and talent to organizations like Habitat for Humanity and The Art of Elysium. In November, Comic Book Heroes attended the American Music Awards as the only selected artist to play the official after-party of one of the music industry’s biggest nights.
Comic Book Heroes’ have also been chosen by ESPN as the featured band for the network’s coverage of the 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Series season airing on ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC, Throughout the 35 week season the band’s music, videos and promotions will be featured. They have also been named as one of 100 bands to the lineup for the Taco Bell ‘Feed The Beat’ Music Festival and we’re selected to participate in Wonka Candy’s Music Nation. CBH’s music was also featured throughout the 2010 X-Games.
In June 2010, CBH will be awarded the Abe Olam Scholarship Award by the Song Writers Hall of Fame. The award is presented to promising young lyricists & composers for for excellence in songwriting.
CBH latest EP Take A Seat was self-released in 2008 and includes their hit single “Catch Me if You Can.” The band is preparing for high school graduation, a new release and a summer tour in 2010.
