Portrait of Tragedy tha Beast
Tragedy tha Beast, born in Chicago, IL, is a 23 year old unsigned American MC. Since his days as a youth Tragedy's love for music has been strong. His mother even taught him his alphabets through music ("A" is for Al B. Sure, "B" is for Bobby Brown etc.). Although he was introduced to music at an early age, his love for Hip Hop didn't develop until around 1997 at age 11. Heavily influenced by artist such as Twista, Crucial Conflict, 2Pac, The Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, Nas, DMX, Big Pun, and others prominent in Hip Hop at the time, a young Tragedy began to hone his skills. By the time he was 16 Tragedy was a full-fledged microphone murderer. Displaying his talents around his neighborhood, LeClaire Courts, his peers began to take notice and dubbed him "shorty that be rapping". Originally, Tragedy's rapping style started off hardcore reflecting the struggles and obstacles of life in inner city Chicago. Still reflecting on those struggles and obstacles, Tragedy now puts a message in his music instead just spewing violence, drugs and murder. With his latest offering, Music of the Mind, Tragedy let's you into his life as he spits heartfelt lyrics over the soulful production of Black Table Committee member Infamous. A detailed account of a young convicted felon trying to overcome the downfalls of life and become successful. If you want to know more about Tragedy I highly suggest you listen to "Music of the Mind".
