Tasha Taylor is the youngest daughter of JOHNNIE TAYLOR,"The Wailer” 1968’s monster R&B smash "Who's Makin' Love?” the 1976 COLUMBIA hit "Disco Lady", and went on to record a duet with her dad on his hit CD "GOOD LOVE" called " Ain’t That Loving You". In 2007, she performed at the Detroit Blues Festival presented by the American Music Research Foundation. This 2nd Generation Blues tribute was filmed in Detroit and aired on KCET. Other guests were Kenny Neal, Bernard Allison and Tito Jackson. She performed on the Annual Blues Cruise traveling to St. Bart's , St. John's and St. Thomas, performing with The Phantom Blues Band and shared the ticket with Taj Mahal, Otis Clay, Tab Benoit, Watermelon Slim, Buckwheat Zydecko as well as many other Blues greats. Also lending her vocal skills to the “2008 Democratic Convention." Tasha performed at The Filmore Theatre in Colorado. A concert for KATRINA Recovery and Relief, sponsored by The Friends of New Orleans. Tasha performed with Allen Tussant, Carla Thomas, Donald Harrison, Susan Tudesci and Voices of the Wetlands and sang in New Orleans for 2008 JAZZFEST. Tasha was recently on tour with Jack Mack and The Heart Attack and is currently on tour with Jim BELUSHI and Dan AKROYD and the Blues Brothers Band as well as,playing on a regular all over the US. Tasha was most recently cast as MARGIE HENDRICKS on BROADWAY in the upcoming musical "Unchain My Heart/ The RAY CHARLES Musical",opening in Spring 2011!!
