Portrait of Mike Ryan Music
Born and raised in Massachusetts, Mike is known as someone who has a story to tell and sings his songs like he owns the story. Mike’s music resembles prominent artists such as “John Mayer”, “The Goo Goo Dolls” and “Toad the Wet Sprocket.”

Mikes songwriting abilities are far beyond his years. His lyrics envelop issues that all ages can relate to. Within his songs he speaks of topics such as the fear of growing older and the hurt of young love. Mike says, “I’m naturally a person who has a lot of anxiety….My music has always been the confession of my fears.

In early 09, Mike joined efforts with producer Dennis Carroll of 6Media AV. In the beginning, their hopes were merely to establish a raw sound in a five song EP. Over the first half of 2009 the album began to flourish. After incorporating drummer Max Zemanovic and bassist Steve Belleville into the project, the tracks began to take shape.

In April of 2009, Mike decided “Summer in Bed” was to be added to the album. Through the entire processes one thing remained constant; it just took time. Rightfully so, that phrase spurred the title of this 6-song EP. “Just Takes Time” was released on July 17th at the Mount Pleasant Country Club in Lowell, MA. His music is available on iTunes, Rhapsody and
