Samantha Gray is an artist, singer and songwriter who discovered her passion for music at an early age while growing up in southeast Michigan. As an art student, Samantha took more of an interest in singing and performing. She realized she wanted to be a performer while singing on stage with roots rockers, The Bystanders, one Saturday night. After obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Tennessee, Samantha moved to Nashville to pursue music. Samantha has sung backup for alt country band The Old Flames and jump blues/swing band Jive Deluxe. After her stint with Jive Deluxe, Samantha started to write lyrics. Influenced by R&B, Soul, Blues and Rock ‘n’ Roll, she combines all of these influences into her own brand of roots music. This music is reminiscent of classic styles and sounds with a fresh and modern approach. Samantha just finished recording her debut album "Bad Girl Now," which will be released this spring.
