Judge for The Makpeace Brothers

Since moving to California two years ago, Finian and Ciaran Makepeace hav
teamed with long-time friend and bassist Conor Gaffney to perform their upbea
acoustic music, in venues from San Francisco to San Diego. Currently residin
in LA, Finian and Ciaran will reunite this summer with their brothers, Aida
and Liam to collaborate on The Makepeace Brothers' debut CD. The four Makepeace Brothers grew up in the vibrant music community of Ithaca
N.Y. Although they have been singing and playing music together for most o
their lives, the brothers were first inspired to write their own songs durin
a year-long motorhome tour of the US. This trip gave them direct contact wit
a wide range of American Roots music and the musicians who play it – fro
bluegrass in North Carolina to Jazz in New Orleans. Their musical an
cultural horizons were broadened further by exposure to African, Latin, an
Celtic music at summer festivals in New York State, as well as by thei
experiences as exchange students in Costa Rica, Brazil and England
