Portrait of SANCHEZ CITY
Sanchez City is more than a name, it’s a movement.
The trio of Jizzle Da Prince, Ray Burns and King Gunna are “getting back to basics” with real lyrical content, coupled with the sound of tomorrow, today. Sanchez City has hit the streets and clubs hard with their anthem for their hometown “CAROLINA (They Know)”, which already has hometown clubs in Fayette’nam going crazy. Recognized by Raplord.com and Sosickwitit.com independently, as being one of the best unsigned artist around.
Sanchez City sets themselves apart by blending lyrical metaphoric wit with soulful R&B singing to produce the sound of tomorrow today. Staying true to the renaissance of Hip Hop and displaying their versatility they have anthems for the ladies as “Gettin Loose” and “She Want A Ryder” are steadily being requested at local clubs. They are presently finishing up their first mixtape entitled “2-6 WE HERE” a tribute to Fayetteville dubiously dubbed Fayette’nam and recognize locals by their 2-6 identification. Selected out of 250 submissions was their single “CAROLINA (They Know) to be included in Tampa Fl’s hottest mix tape series DJ Headbussa’s Supply & Demand Vol 25 Florida Classic Edition.
They have teased fans with opening up for artist’s such as B.G. and Dorrough and performances at The Palace and the Bee’s Nest in Fayetteville. They’ve taken their show on the road tearing down Raleigh at The Brewery and are poised to go HAM in 2010 performing throughout the Carolina’s and down to Florida. Look out for their new single “I Get Money” and “Paper Chase” coming soon. If there is a group to be heard, remembered and rep’d out of Carolina, it is Sanchez City.
