High Child is: Spud (guitars, vocals), Dave (bass, backing vocals), Alex (keyboards, backing vocals) and Chris (drums).

Spud, Dave and Alex grew up together surrounded by the rolling hills of Derbyshire, with little else to do other than climb trees and count sheep. They decided to pick up some instruments and write some songs, and High Child was born.

After unsuccessful experiments with about 10 different drummers, Chris joined the permanent line-up in 2006. The band's sound is a mixture of 60s-era pop and 90s grit.

High Child has produced 3 demo albums to date, which have sold over 7,000 copies in total. They released their first official album in August 2008, which is a compilation of their best tracks from the 3 demo albums, re-recorded and mastered to sound better than ever.

The band is now based in London and will be performing regularly around the UK.
