Sometimes life can throw some wicked curve balls. Some you hit out of the park and some you strike out. John is no stranger to both. The momentum train was gathering steam with John's debut album "Simple Life," reaching the Top 40 on Texas music charts. Acquiring a distribution deal and opening shows for some country music starrs and headlining his own shows, John's music showed progress. Ah, but those curve bals kept coming. Along with other life events, and the surprising news of John's deployment to Afghanistan in 2015, brough his music train to a halt when John left to serve his country. However, John has always been a fighter and with a no quit attitude, decided to saddle up once more.
Reforming hsi band after returning home, John started performing again and quckly gathered notice by venues, as well as new and returning fans. Recently, John has been opening shows for music legends such as Jo-El Sonnier, T. Graham Brown, and hot Texas country artists like Kyle Park, JB and the Moonshine Band, and Ray Johnston Band. Once again, John has his sights on the charts and music redemption. Returning to the studio, John has recently finished recording his second, full length, studio album, "Moments Like This," with Grammy award winning producer Robb Tripp.
"Moments Like This" is an album fo songs with a culmination of emotions brought on by true life events, and conveys those emotions like only a country song can. It portrays somewhat of a time line of John's life from the hard times to a new found optimism and purpose. John has self-penned 7 songs on "Moments Like This" and shows a maturity in his songwriting. Along with songs written by power house songwriters Jeffrey Steele, Travis Tritt, Byron Hill, and Tracy Byrd, "Moments Like This" is an album of songs that are full of truth, honesty, and emotion that only true country music can provide.
