Combining elements of country, jazz, blues, folk and rockabilly, Gray was a purveyor of the "Nashville sound," embracing the Countrypolitan movement, which emphasized pop-oriented singers in country music and attracted new audiences to the genre. Gray performed regularly on the Grande Ole Opry and has recorded a total of 21 albums and 53 singles.
Gray has toured and performed with the likes of Johnny Cash, George Jones, Dinah Washington, Jim Reeves, Buck Owens and Duke Ellington amongst numerous other artists.
Today, Gray is an independent recording artist and continues to tour with The Claude Gray Roadshow, performing concerts throughout North America and in parts of Europe, where classic country music is still very popular. Gray has appeared in Branson and is also a regularly featured performer on the RFD-TV cable television Network. Catch country legend Claude Gray very soon in a city near you!
