Music For The Soul by Palm Coast Neighborhood, Jan 5
There’s a new sound in the air! “Reflections”, a recently released CD by a quartet named “Nevaeh” (na-vay-ah) – heaven spelled backwards - is a collection of inspirational Christian music beautifully performed by Palm Coast ladies of song. “Nevaeh” is the coming together of Christina Hulet, Allison Walker, Linda Wolfson and Kathleen Robinson, a group of talented women who had been, at first, singing as individuals then performing as a group throughout Palm Coast, Jacksonville, St. Augustine, and other locales in Volusia and Flagler Counties before taking the risk to publish their first and quite successful CD. Currently they are in rehearsal for their upcoming performance at the Daytona 500 Sunday Morning Worship Service in February 2009. Their choice of music is intended to resurrect in some music lovers and ignite in others a belief that life with faith is life worth living. Their musical style is quite modern and their delivery is undoubtedly a reflection of a personal commitment to the core of their purpose. Belz says 2008 Daytona race week "the best." by Florida Baptist Witness
DAYTONA (FBW)—Halifax Baptist Association Director of Missions Dennis Belz told Florida Baptist Witness the 2008 Central Florida Racetrack Ministry at Daytona Speedway was the "best year of all nine that we have been inside the grounds." God just put everything together for us," Belz said. The ministry tent, manned by volunteers from churches in the Daytona area and from all over north Florida, has become an established presence at the Speedway, and fans now know where to look for free coffee, conversation and, most often, prayer with a volunteer. Visiting musical groups included ensembles from First Baptist Church in South Daytona and First Baptist Church in Palm Coast. They and soloists sang and played for the Sunday and Wednesday night services through the month and volunteers preached. NASCAR driver Morgan Sheperd dropped by the tent to hear the women's ensemble, Nevaeh, from Palm Coast. Sheperd stayed to speak to a crowd of about 50.
