Keep 7 members Josh Denson (vocals), Ryan Joyce (guitar), and Tayler Buck (drums) started playing music together in the spring of 2008 under the name “For What It’s Worth”. For What It’s Worth played two shows together before realizing that the sound they made together wasn’t what any of them wanted. Josh went on to sing for local punk band “Another Step Further”. While he did that Ryan and Noah Throw (guitar) began writing music together with Peter Lam (guitar) just for fun. As a side project, Josh and Jason Conn (bass) began making music together as well. After some lineup changes in Another Step Further, Josh began writing music with Ryan, Noah and Peter under the name of Third Circuit. More lineup changes occurred in late 2011 and Ryan was moved from bass to guitar, Noah moved from drums to guitar, and Peter was replaced by Jason. They began playing as Keep 7. Tayler was added shortly after as a fill in drummer but eventually became as a permanent member of the band. Keep 7 spent a majority of their winter writing material and in February 2012, they released their first single, “Good Day”. Soon after, Keep 7 recorded and released their debut album “Rise and Shine” on May 27, 2012. Currently, Keep 7 is writing their sophomore album and is planning and performing in shows around the Midwest.
