Band Bio
The Arcadists formed in June 2007
through a craigslist ad that included a
posting by guitarist Rob Simmons
(Burlacticus Undertow, Stellavision)
and response from veteran solo SF
singer/songwriter Erik Alan.
After a few jam sessions with drummer
Matt Kurvin (Burlacticus Undertow,
Sarah Jane), and bassist Jon Luini
(Sarah Jane, Stellavision, Mudkats,
Deth Specula) the four quickly found
common musical ground with similar
influences in Rock, Ska, Rock-a-billy,
and Surf Rock.
As the Arcadists continue to evolve
musically, they pull from their past
experiences and deliver controlled
energy to a stage show that you will
not forget. Together less than a year,
you can already experience the
Arcadists at top notch venues all over
the Bay and coming to a town near
you!
Listen...We are going to have a
conversation E.P.
With the fan base steadily growing in
late 2007 through grassroots efforts,
the group jumped into the studio to lay
down their first batch of tunes. Jon
enlisted the aid of an associate in the
music world, esteemed Producer/Mixer
John Cuniberti (Joe Satriani, Kevin
Gilbert, Dead Kennedys) to mix their
self-produced EP, "Listen... We
Are Going to Have a Conversation". A
full album's worth of originals is being
fine-tuned for recording in the summer
of 2008.
