"we'll make our way back to the crown
Ever wonder what it would sound like if Steve Vai and Pantara were to have offspring durring the disco era? Very seldom does a great metal band come along with the reputation that they want to pave new ground in music all while refusing to be labeled and catagorized. Hailing from Dayton, Ohio, TINJ has taken the genre of "Metal" to a whole new level. Emblazened their stamp on it, and made it something of their own. Pure, Raw, and powerful STEEL
Every member of the band is a prodigy, plain and simple. They stand behind that statement every time they say "this is what I was born to do", and everywhere they play people realize it
How many guitar players do you know that can play Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Dimebag, and anything or anyone put in front of him? Let alone, at the age of ten? We can name one. His name is Dave Hammond, and he slings the STEEL for TINJ. Dave's ability goes far beyond his years. His practice and hard work and dedication puts him at the level of someone twice as long as he's been alive. Every show he leaves the audience in disbelief.
On the drums is 22 year old Lee Hammond. We guarentee you have never watched someone so fast that isn't already a celebrity. Lee has become the mainstay Metal drummer in Dayton and its surrounding cities. Over 1000 hits a minute double kick, with hands just as intrcate. People come, people watch, people listen, ans shake their heads smiling in awe
Tom Kunz, a Metal bassist at heart. Anyone who plays bass, or has the desire to play bass needs to rest their eyes on this guy! Tom can just as easily tear off Vic Wooten, Primus, and Bill Dickens with a grin on his face, as he can blast you with the lowest Metal possible turning that grin into a smile. We have seen many a bass player in all our own time, and Tom is one of the best out there
Derek Brunsveld. The voice of reason, the voice of TINJ. Hands down the best local frontman in the Dayton area. With his Phil Anselmo meets Johnathan Davis with a twist vocals, Derek brings it all full circle. Complets the puzzle. From Grueling growls, to harmony, to melodic choruses, and the ability to go from one to the other without breaking a sweat
There is no style of music we can not play, but our own is what we bring. Wherever we go, our fans follow. Week in and week out, our fans follow. Every show we gain new fans, and they follow! A LIVE TINJ show is unlike any local show you will ever see. When we step out onto that stage, the venue comes alive. Alive with the pure, raw, often immitated but never duplicated energy that only we can bring. There is no other band out there like us, and our mission is to show everyone we play in front of that we are TINJ.....This is STEEL.....and we are for real!
