Always with a talent for making music and writing lyrics, the twin brothers started perfecting their craft early on. Initially using music as an outlet to be heard, the Wise Guyz have dreams of making music that the entire world can appreciate. Jamel, a.k.a “Shadow”, is known as the wordsmith of the group and his brother Jerel, a.k.a “Preach tha Playa”, is known for his creative hooks and melodies. Originally from Brooklyn NY, moved to Hampton VA when we was like 5 years old later relocated back to NYC to pursue their dreams. So when asked where they rep, they may reply “all over”. Many have said their flow encompasses the ‘best of both worlds’, they have the lyrical content of up north rap mixed with the infectious hooks and melodies from down south. With their first three independent mixtapes receiving much love in the streets and their fan base growing throughout the country; the fourth, “Welcome to Tha Other Side” will continue to showcase the lyrical prowess that the twins have mastered. It promises to be another Wise Guyz classic.
