The road to success is not always a straight path..... There are pit-stops along the way and then there are pitfalls, often causing one to lose sight of the goal and pushing one to settle for the greater good of all. Its the small reminders and signs sent our way that remind us of who we could be...who we are meant to be... and Donnie Cash-Flow might be the best example!
Herman Carter lll, aka Donnie Cash-Flow is a humble young man, devoted father and husband... traits he can attribute to his soul-full upbringing.
A South Florida native (currently residing in Miami Gardens), the soft-spoken Miamian has been in love with music and the emotions it can envoke since the age of 9, when he was given the child hood nickname of "Donnie". He grew up watching his father, Herman Carter Jr., performing gospel songs in the group "SpritualAirs", along with his 3 siblings. It was those moments that inspired the young Carter to adopt the alias "Donnie Cash-Flow". It was also his father who sought to push his son to seek out a stable career.
Upon graduation from W.H. Turner Tech in 2000, Carter lll obtained degrees in information technology from ITT and AIU...shortly after he meet Jacquline McKenzie, a woman who would transform his life in more ways than one. They would marry in 2007 and move on to form a family of 6... Herman had it all, but fate would not let him forget about the gift within and used the woman he loved above all to remind him.
It was May of 2011, when Donnie decided to use his gift of song to express his feelings for his wife by writing and producing an anniversary song dedicated to her called "Thinking Of"... a song that impressed those around him so much that it led his cousin Tommy Carter, also known as T. Carter Soultry, to push his cousin to re-open the box of talent he had left shut for so long. Tommy Carter, also heavily involved in his own music career, sought the opinion of his manager Corlis Law. Ms. Law, manager of "Imagine That Entertainment" was extremely impressed with "Thinking Of ". She decided to meet with Donnie and agreed to manage him. Donnie found himself back in music with his wife and family supporting him all the way.
This year alone, the 31 yr old Cash-Flow has performed his hit singles " Doing You Right" and "Omnipotent Man" at venues such as Suite 100, The Elks Lounge in Ft. Lauderdale, and Trio on the Bay- located on beautiful Miami Beach. His debut album is set to drop early 2013. Donnie hopes to continue his improbable journey to success.
