About the Artist
Born Keziah Naarah Meshullemeth Clark, Chicago, Illinois, stage name Zsiaah, pronounced See-ah. Indie/Singer-Songwriter - Various Genres.
Zsiaah began singing at the age of 9 years old, started singing in the choir at (Genisis Love and Care Baptise Church) at the age of 11 years old.
At the age of 12, Keziah met Jimmy Spinks, an actor from Chicago who played in the Epic Black Comedy Film "Carwash." Jimmy Spinks took Keziah under his wings and had her practicing her voice to the piano and then prepared her to showcase in various talentshows and be filmed. Keziah then showcased in school showcases, sang on local rap artist music and special events.
Zsiaah's first large audience performance was at the age of sixteen at the "Annual Taste of Columbus Park Festival" (Chicago, IL) under the stage name: Keziah Naarah and now performs as Zsiaah.
Zsiaah co-wrote and co-produced her first music CD (Angel Love) in 2000 with guitarist/producer, KJAZ. Zsiaah contributes her successes to the following bands in Chicago: ASAP Jazz Band w/Kevin Martin, Cotton Club Jazz Band and Steve Flowers Jazz Band. Zsiaah's music CD productions are contributed to KJAZ (producer/musician), Daniel Adams (producer), Aaron D’Poet (producer/poet) and Ron Prince (producer/musician/engineer).
Zsiaah's father (Abdiel), a local jazz musician and master silversmith, gave her music instructions to enhance her music compositions and jewelry instructions to create beautiful jewelry. She writes and composes her songs with some collaboration with her mother Levette Haynes, also a handcrafted jewelry designer and percussionist.
In 2001, Zsiaah met and recorded (One Love) with the late great Lui Satterfield (Phoenix Horns/ Earth, Wind and Fire) and under the music production of Ron Prince and also performed with his orchestrated band at "The Garfield Park Conservatory" event "Jazz Under The Stars." Zsiaah also recorded with Ron Prince on her second CD entittled “Zsiaah” (released date 2008 on OurStage).
Zsiaah manages herself under her production company (Planet Soul Universal Productions) (PSUP) that she created April 2017 . Zsiaah began her production company, (PSUP) to promote her songs representing her prayers and hopes for mankind, aimed to enlighten and uplift the soul, mind and spirit of all people
Zsiaah has performed throughout Chicago at the Cotton Club, E2 Club, The Dark Room Park Districts, Universities, Sung on DA Smart song, "Million More Movement" an extension of the "Millioin Man March," Weddings, Festivals & Special Events.
