Star is a song which was written for three very special people.
In 2010, we lost a very good friend in Danielle Shipley. A senior at Lapeer West High school, Danielle was killed in a tragic car accident days before her senior prom. As a tribute to her, Kris and Tom started writing this song.
Then in 2011 and 2012, Tom and his wife Abbey lost two sons, Grant and Nathan to a rare genetic disease. As a band we decided it was only fitting to dedicate Star to Danielle, Nathan, and Grant.
