Audio engineering/mixing observation: 

I wish to point out a superb job done on the que contour of both the vocal and guitar. The vocal takes priority in the mix, whatever it takes to get the vocalists to sound their best. All other instrumentation surrounds the voice. Notice how nicely the low frequencies on the voice are present, and yet the guitar has been frequency contour shaped to stay out of the way of those same frequencies. The guitar can also be frequency compressed in that area (two ways to do it). When the guitar takes a solo, it is at that time that it occupies the same frequency contour as the vocal track.
