The song is questioning if its worth working/living as something you are not or do not enjoy just because you have to?.The chorus was written to be heard in two ways, firstly 'It's just not me', refering to having to put on an act in the role you are having to undertake, obviuosly you have to act in a certian manor in the work place but this refers not being able to be yourself for whatever reason. Secondly in terms of there are hundreds and thousands of people in the same position.
