The Tiger's Back (band: Windsor), by Willie Chambers (band: Windsor) on OurStage
The Tiger's Back is a song based on words from a JFK speech. If you like bands such as U2, Radiohead, Coldplay, & Green Day we think you'll like this anti-war music video.

I did bro I truly did, but this really bothers me. Why is it that the soldier gets the brunt of all the negative shit in songs. Most songs (and from what I heard in this one, or should I say understood) imply the soldier is either too stupid to understand that he is being controlled by politics, or that he just gets off on killing. This idea should have been written out of songs now that the Armed Forces is a total volunteer force. "Baby Killer" is my "N" word either implied or yelled at me at some anti-war protest.

I have a hard time believing that with your family history, that you don't find it insulting. You didn't mention if your dad was still alive (I am sorry if he isn't), but I would like to know what he thinks of it, and the video

I truly admire the way you handled my comments about this video. I still find it insulting, and so would any of my brothers I lost. I respect your point of view, but I can't agree with it. My initial comments were written out of anger, I won't deny that. You are right that pride was a contributing factor. Pride is what prompted you to contact me so you could explain your point of view. Brother we won't ever agree on this. I do not like bands that want to delve into politics.

You confirmed what I stated in my initial response, that you "continuously argue the positive aspects of America with anyone from any country whose nationalistic opinions of America fall in between Cowboys and Paris Hilton.", makes you a self-hating American. Bottom Line: You should not have to "explain" America to anyone

Again I admire the way you handled my comments. If you wish to discuss this further please feel free to contact me. I will write back if I'm not out oppressing someone's rights in their own country or killing babies (just joking - I can be a funny SOB). Peace Bro & I mean it.

What if you found out that the director of this video was a military brat? His Father was a Airborne/Ranger and retired Sgt. Major and ex Green Beret who spent time in war Zones in El Salvador, Colombia, Bolivia and Peru in the 80's? The soldier is a much respected citizen of any country and who throws his life in harm's way to protect our country from decisions made by politicians on 2 principles; 1. War is based on economics 2. War is based on defense.

In reality, they both go hand-in-hand. The director isn't denying your right to feel your pride in being a soldier defending our country; nor is he uneducated about past wars, their causes and their effects - from the the unification of the Egyptian kingdoms of 2,500 years ago to our present war...a soldier's job is to defend and fight; the artist's is to explore and express

United states IS an amazing country and one that I continuously argue the positive aspects with ANYONE from any country whose nationalistic opinions of America fall in between Cowboys and Paris Hilton. The military sent my father, my mother and myself ALL over the world and educated me in the local customs of the host countries we were stationed and my father made me understand that war is an ingrained instinct in all human beings - whether spiritual or aesthetic.
Hey man, I couldn't find that bridge between reality and dreams if guys like you didn't pick up a gun

These are images that America is dealing with, bro: from war to the recession. This isn't a a derogatory jab at soldiers. My father lost so many friends in El Salvador: and because Special forces weren't OFFICIALLY there, the dead's families will never receive their loved ones CIB patches.

You made an opinion about the video based a a justified emotion: pride. Be prideful of the brother's you lost thus far in our war (I've lost a cousin thus far), they are family to you and I understand that...but look at the images again and just hope that human beings can find another way -probably not in our lifetime though- so another tear won't be shed for a fallen comrade again

Anyways, I hope you gives this another flip of the coin..

When will these self-righteous, anti-war, pussy bands pick up a history book and realize that this country was formed because of war. Keep politics out of music, I don't need some court jester from the suburbs to tell me war is bad. I've seen first hand what it does. Anyone who forms a political opinion because of a song is a bigger idiot the the one who wrote the song. The U.S.A. is as good as you are gonna get. Self hating Americans disgust me, and you probably think we brought on 911, get a clue. Find something else to believe in other than some fantasy that everyone in the world can live together in peace, history proves wrong. Is it so hard to believe in your country that freed itself from oppression, stopped the genocide of a race, gave you the freedom to pursue your art? Lucky for you there are people who cherish their freedom and yours, who will pick up a gun (not a guitar)and defend it with their lives. I respect your right to perform your music, just remember to respect mine to say I can't stand it.
