Remember, the blues began in the delta, in the fields as the slaves sang their blues, their words, their pain. True blues is a feeling blues with words that feel. I love this piece, it speaks to me in the language of the true deep feeling blues! Peac Dail
I could careless about dialect or articulation in a blues song, can I feel it, that's all I want to know.... The line fits..........as a guy that drops heavy english in most of my music, with tons of ambiguity, I think that most people miss, I say leave the way it is.
I really liked this body of work. I understand what Blue Plate Special was saying, however, ever listen to Clapton singing the blues? He is always true to the old style and phrasing of words...so maybe its just a matter of preference of style.
Like the performance, production. Lyrics are a little weak in spots. "Where She Be" is a tad unbelievable. In Blues I want to know it's comin' from you, not because it was in an old blues tune.
