by Skidmore Fountain

Think ELO and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Flaming Lips and Can. Terry Riley and Talking Heads. NYC indie rock band Skidmore Fountain is a bit on the unconventional side with five-string electric cello, guitar, drums, and vocals making up the group. Skidmore's live string arrangements and ambient soundscapes looping through an Echoplex, vocals intensified through analog delay pedals, and orchestrated guitar lines all sitting atop pounding old school R&B and dub rhythms.

How about an actual comment about Asylum?! Love the melody of this tune, it's got a great energy. You guys are too cool for school!

I apologize for the comment below being posted to the wrong song in error. The comment refers to "Disjunked" by Evazan, and not to this song, "Asylum" by Skidmore. Asylum is not bad.

For the life of me, I cannot understand what anyone sees in this song. It is so dull. If I paid money for a Bon Jovi ticket and had to sit through this first, I'd be annoyed. There are several songs with more melody, better tempo, and greater excitement than this and they are not in the top 20. I really wonder how this ranking system works because it truly does not reflect quality. This is for a ROCK concert for pete's sake! A lot of these "top 20" songs could be substituted for Sominex.

Just wanted to say Thank You on Behalf of TOXIN for all of your votes. We will NOT slam other bands on here as some have chosen to do. We are all on here for a reason, but the main reason is Bon Jovi allowing all of us a chance to perform with him. In a time where the music industry is at a crossroad, we thank everyone involved, including the other bands in this contest - TOXI
