A pretty polished multitrack recording, strong vocals, solid playing by the band. The question to me is where this music falls on the musical spectrum. If part of an album project, I would expect a variety of harder and softer material, and this song thankfully showed some of that dynamic range; still I'm not sure if this is adult alternative or indie/college radio material. My guess would be the former, because of the maturity of the sound of the vocals and the slightly 90s-sounding straight-ahead rock in the background; it sounds like it would be complemented well on a playlist with artists like Souixsie & The Banshees, Alanis Morisette, Tori Amos, Fiona Apple. etc, though some I have named here are generally softer-sounding. Of course I could be all wrong about this, so the thing to do is probably to be true to yourself. I liked what I heard!
