PICO

PICO - these are his own ska-funk compositions. Elements of reggae, ska, jazz, rock, funk and Portuguese fado blended  with African influences from Mozambique it results in a truly unique mix of styles with Portuguese Chant. Melodic  passages, crisp brass riffs, and funky crossover. Consistently  danceable rhythms with Spanish, Portuguese and African influences

The six-member band from Munich - all long-time musicians - was founded in 2004 by Pancho Ballweg (bass), Carsten Ullrich (trumpet) and Heiko Popp (drums), later came to the Portuguese singer and guitarist Gabriel Correia and the saxophonist Eva Buck. In February 2012 the trombonist Ludwig Hiller did complete the Band.
