On a foggy day amongst the Dorian battle fields, Adam Abrams (Palace In Thunderland, FreightTrain) and Mike Elliott (FreightTrain) began writing songs for an upcoming recording project which later became known as Aeolian Race. They sought out to create music that altered emotionally and dynamically as the world does.
Adding Andrew Nicklas (The Consesuals), a trained jazz and rock drummer to the lineup was the next logical step. Nicklas added a harder edge to their sound along with intricate dynamics to the rhythm section which fills in the empty space during their live show.
Aeolian Race has been described as progressive / psychedelic rock outfit who put on an explosive live show along with producing tasteful recordings with carefully written songs and melodies.
Aeolian Race has been compared to such acts as Pink Floyd, The Smashing Pumpkins and King Crimson.
