About Anne Marie NV
Anne Marie has been delighting family, friends, congregations and audiences with her singing, dancing and acting since she was very young.
While growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area she took dance lessons, sang at church and school, and developed her vocal and acting skills with the nationally acclaimed San Jose Children's Musical Theater.
Anne Marie, 16, is an active performer! Since moving to Reno, Anne Marie has performed numerous solo concerts, acted with local theater companies, and sung with an all-girl pop group. She was awarded the prestigious 2008 Performing Artist Grant by the Sierra Arts Foundation. She's won many talent contests, was a finalist in Reno Idol 2008 and took second place in TMCC Idol 2008.
Anne Marie is the first high school student ever invited to be a member of the Truckee Meadows Community College traveling Musical Theater Troupe. Recent theater roles include Juliet in “When Shakespeare’s Ladies Meet”, Nina in “Women and Wallace” and Greek chorus in Woody Allen’s “God.” She was featured artist at numerous events in Reno's 2008 Artown Festival and will be again for 2009. She participates in Cabaret Kids for Carson City’s Wild Horse Productions.
She has sung the national anthem for the Nevada State Democratic Convention, Reno Celebrates America, President Obama's last Reno campaign rally, Nevada Special Olympics, Reno Bighorns, Reno Roller Girls, and the UNR football, basketball and baseball teams.
Anne Marie is a popular artist on MySpace, YouTube and other online venues. She has been honored as Featured Artist by numerous online sites featuring emerging musicians.
Annie's dreams include a career in entertainment and lots more fun in musical theater! She is taking vocal and piano lessons, college acting classes, performing concerts and writing original music to develop her career.
