About Brittany Ann
Easton, PA
Brittany Ann is a 19-year-old singer/songwriter from Easton, Pennsylvania. A lifelong singer and folk music enthusiast, she picked up the guitar around the age of 10...and it was love. Now a freshman music therapy major at Temple University, she is taking the Philly scene by storm with her trademark ethereal melodies, intricate finger-picking, and "wise beyond her years" lyrics.
Brittany has shared stages with artists such as Tom Paxton, Liz Longley, Anthony da Costa, Carsie Blanton, and Dala. She has played in many of the Northeast's finest venues, including World Cafe Live, Godfrey Daniel's, Musikfest, The Bitter End, Steel City Coffee, and Chaplin's Music Cafe. In February '09, she played a formal showcase at the International Folk Alliance Conference in Memphis, and in July '09 she participated in the Winnipeg Folk Festival's Young Performer's Program.
Brittany has recently begun performing with band: Celtic harp player Paige Setzer and bassist Joe Plowman.
She is currently in the process of recording her debut album, which will be released this summer.
