CHARLES STEWART
BIOGRAPY
Born in Detroit, Mi. on December 20th1979, Charles began displaying an
interest in soulful tunes at an early age. He would sing hits like “You are
my lady” or “ Rock with me tonight” by Freddie Jackson, throughout
the house. He amazed his family by the strength of his voice. Charles was
raised by his mother, Rugenna Stewart. She often encouraged him to join
musical activities in church and school.
By ninth grade Charles saved and purchased his first $400 drum machine.
Placing a “Do Not Disturb, Recording in Session” sign on his door, Charles
became a master at writing, arranging and producing his own music. While
attending Northern High in Detroit, Charles joined and traveled the East Coast
with The Unlimited Sounds Choir, winning various awards and competitions.
One of his most memorable accomplishments was being able to perform at the
APOLLO Theater in Harlem, New York, where Luther, James, Donny and
countless other Greats have performed. Charles has been cast in church plays
for his smooth, spiritually oriented, gospel voice. Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder
Donny Hathaway have all inspired this young, talented man to explore and
achieve his dreams through the ART OF MUSIC.
