Well hello hello! I finally remembered my login information for OurStage again... Happy to be back! I guess that means it's time to update my "about me" section since it's been about two years.
My name's Christen, I just turned 21 years old, and I'm from Sugar Land Texas! I've been singing my entire life & started writing songs about four years back. I'm pretty sure I quit every activity I ever tried--ballet, soccer, tumbling, you name it--until I found my amazing vocal coach when I was 12 years old. Music is just something I've never been able to live without, and once I got started I was addicted!
Recently I took a break from college to be a full time musician (every mother's dream, right?) and I am so glad I did. This past year I've had some incredible opportunities; it's been a lot of work, but worth it.
Last time I was on here I had just released my first single, "Crazy", to radio. To my amazement it climbed the Texas Music Charts to #20! A year later I'm on a radio tour for single number three ("One Too Many Saturday Nights"), promoting the March release of my first full album. CRAZY, right!? This third single peaked at #16... Woo hoo!
Another quick cool thing that's happened to me recently: I just won an award for Female Vocalist of the Year at the Texas Music Awards! It's been a really exciting 2010 so far :)

I keep up with those sites almost every day so if you wanna chat, that's the place to do it! And since I know a good majority of the people on OurStage are musicians, GOOD LUCK to yall!
