NothingBox

NothingBox has been the brainchild and solo writing / recording project of guitarist / singer / songwriter Steve Taunton , and the angry little child who lives in his head, for over 10 years. In the last few years, several iterations of a live band were formed for some shows and writing but neither Steve nor himself were satisfied. The project had devekoped into a legit 3-piece band with a bright future, featuring exceptional musicianship, panty-dropping sex appeal and a combined age of almost 300. The band played between 20 and 37 shows in 2011 and eventually came unraveled when it became clear that nobody goes to The Horseshoe on Tuesday night. The majority of the music currently featured on this site is mostly 8-track home demos written and performed by Taunton playing and singing all the parts while swatting at imaginary flies. Currently, Taunton is in Mojo Studios recording NB's first full length (and then some) record, Unquiet. Preliminary mixes of Butterfly, True Romance, Down, Lay Down Your Arms and Render can be found here on Ourstage, Butterfly being one of the most popular songs on the site. Numbers don't lie. Musicians typically do with alarming regularity, but this time it's true.... and while I still don't fully recognize the point of this site, I have little doubt it will be a pivotal stepping stone in the eventual domination of the charts and hearts worldwide!
