Oak in Oslo

Oak started out as an acoustic piano/bass/vocals project between Øystein and Simen in 2002. After a long brake in 2003/2004, we found out it was time to start playing together again, and Oak was slowly developing into what it is today. We are now a group of 5 musicians:-Øystein: Bass, composing, producing.-Simen: Vocals, piano, composing, lyrics.-Kjetil: Guitars-Eirik: Guitars-Sigbjørn: Drums. Oak combines progrock folkrock and poprock in a very distinctive sound.The musicians in Oak has very different backgrounds. Simen and Kjetil have studied together at the music conservatory in Kristiansand.Eirik used to be in the extreme metal business.Øystein has been doing everything from metal to pop, and Sigbjørn has been working with different prog projects and as a studio musician.Togethere we have found a platform that we share and want to develop into something special.Our best wishes!Enjoy!
