Prince Duah (pronounced Do-wah) was born in Mississippi; and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. The name Duah, is a name derived from Ghana, West Africa. He is a descended of a well known king in Africa from the 1960’s. His Grandfather was the king of the Ashanti Tribe, Well known as the “Ashanti Warriors”. The name Duah has several meanings such as Royalty, life, Energy and also Prayer . Since the age of nine, inspired by his surroundings, Duah began to write musical lyrics and poetry. In 1996 his first poem titled (Somebody) was published in a book entitled “ The Anthologies of Young Americans”. Soon after, he was accepted into Nocca The School of Arts in New Orleans, for creative writing. Earlier in his career Duah joined a group of four called Soul Disciples, releasing their first song, “Mississippi Bomb Fire.” In the year 1998, the song conquered the airwaves, receiving many spins on JZ94.5 in the Gulf Coast area, before the break up in 1999. Soon after, he joined a two man group called EMD & Omega. The group released one single called “ITS EMD & Omega.” Duah also writes music for several local artist and plans on writing songs for national recording artist. He can write R&B, Hip-Hop, Country, Rock, and Gospel, Duah has opened up for well known artist such as Yung Jeezy, Keyshia Cole, Young Bloodz , Lil Webbie, Lil Boosie ,Young Joc, Juvenile, T-pain, and Cheri Dennis OF Bad Boy Records. Duah has also been on local TV stations and Radio. He has done radio commercials for a
known magazine company based in Houston called “Got It Magazine.” Be on the look for this phenomenal lyricist. It is no doubt that this star on the rise will make his mark in the world.
