About Quickbeats

Woodbridge, VA

Quick has brought you classic underground hits like KV1. Then he brought you KV2, which was another great critically acclaiming underground album. Now Quick Beats and Dee Best, the music genius and the lyrical assassin, bring you their highly anticipated album, Cashin’ Checks, destined to be another musical banger.

Quick has ascended to the top of the rap game, remarkably balancing his in-demand hit making abilities with his outlandish production style. Few rap producers are capable of such a balance between commerce and craft. Quick has produced an endless list of hits, primarily for a select group of affiliates. Yet even so, he always infused a remarkable sense of individuality and creativity into his productions. When you hear a Quick Beats production there is no mistaking it for anyone else's work: stuttering bass-heavy bounce beats offset resounding high-end synthesize stabs, all of this often complemented by his own signature-like futuristic touch; and no sampling

"Cashin’ Checks is the meeting of two worlds. The world of Beats & Thunder (Quick & Dee signs respectively)," Explains Quick on the meaning of title. "It's simply that two people can come together as one and create good music that everybody can appreciate." Hence, the music genius and the lyrical assassin. "Balance is key," adds Dee, the rowdy vocals of the duo. "Balance in the music is very important to Cashin Checks success." Just as Cashin’ Checks has grown musically, so have they individually. "I'm more street, southkak hip hop, and Quick is more smoother and pimpin’ type of hip hop." Dee describes. The two also have very different appearances on the album. "Quick looks like the music and I look like the message."

Although you might find the two making money from other business ventures or going in different directions when they leave the studio, their direction in music is clear and united. "On this album we wanted to excel creatively and bring a new sound for 2007," Quick explains the concept behind the album, "Cashin’ Checks is a balance of the freshest beats blended with out of space lyrical funk

The first single, "Pop That" is a “back alley, southern blue grass, strip club session,” describes Quick excitedly. The track opens up with tight head bouncing production as Quick and Dee Best rhyme skillfully over the hype beat. Then it takes you back to everyone's southern roots with a harmonica ending that will have you out of your seat and doing your dance. "We just trying to give people good high energy music," says Dee. The unforgettable hook and banging beat is destined to keep the party going.

Quick and Dee continues to take it to the streets with the tracks "Dopehouse" and “Rideout”. The songs are laced with hard hitting thumping beats and quick witty hooks between all three verses.

The music genius and the lyrical assassin have elevated their game with this hard hitting music on Cashin’ Checks. Musically, individually, and collectively Quick Beats and Dee Best are coming strong and impressive on this project. There lyrics from the intro track clearly describe the group's feelings on the music, the look, and the entire project: "Now, if you want war, we can bring it to you!"
