Run With the Kittens have been engaging audiences with their wild, unpredictable live performances for over 4 years. The Kitten’s sound is a unique mash up of 20th century popular music; bossa nova, stadium rock, disco, hip-hop, children's songs, lounge jazz and grooving instrumentals, all appear in a usual Run With The Kittens set. Although the Kittens touch on all of these musical ideas, they still manage to produce a style that transcends all genres and defines a Kittens song. This musical style combined with brilliantly composed songs and clever, often hilarious lyrics resulting in one of the most dynamic repertoires you will ever experience. Based out of Toronto, the Kittens have established a large fan base and have performed over 300 shows. A testament to their ability to keep the live show fresh and entertaining, the Kittens have had a weekly residency at the Cameron House in Toronto for 3 years and consistently pack the house. The real strength of this band is that they can feel out a crowd at any venue, and create a new and exciting set with such a feeling of passion and enjoyment in their delivery, that being dragged along for the laugh-out-loud ride is inevitable. Run With the Kittens were voted Toronto's best live electric band by the 2006 Toronto Independent Music Awards.
