I live and work in the City of Prague, in Central Europe. I play guitars, keyboards and percussions. All music has been recorded in my small home studio called Balcan Cheese Studio.
I use my Ensoniq ASR-88 with its amazing sound collection plus my AKAI S5000 with its huge sample library. I use KAWAI MP 9500 stage piano, ROLAND JV2080 and XV5080 with eight expansion boards. I also use ROLAND JUNO 106, KORG 03R/W, EMU - ORBIT, CRUMAR PERFORMER etc. I have a few acoustic, electric guitars, basses and other string instruments like al-oud or balalaika. I often use DIGITECH GSP 2120 and 2101 Artist and BOSS GT PRO and GAINIAC-2. I have KORG WAVEDRUM Black edition, djembes and darbukas.
As for my music, I write and record my songs just for the love of music. My friends - mostly musicians - often come to my house and join me to spice up my pieces of music.
I collaborate with Eve Stainert ( I had a dream and Little Feather )
and I recorded two songs with Czech vocalist
Sara Franche ( The Story of Moses and Believe ).
While I am making music I am asking myself:
Can music created in small home studio somewhere in the Central Europe attract attention of people who do not live in my country?
Does my music use that kind of an universal language that other people can understand ? Thanks to your comments I hope it does. ivo
I would like to thank to all of my colleagues for showing their interest.
