STOP THE WORLD
Born from the ashes of several Philadelphia and New Jersey bands, Stop The World takes rock’s classic sounds and mixes it with todays flare for a style that is all their own. Featuring members Bert Lepore on vocals, Joe Mal on Bass, Joe Fortino on guitar,Frank Day on guitar and Steve Tabilio on drums. Stop The World takes heavy, riff driven songs and adds catchy hook driven melodies that are ready for today’s radio. Stop The World has been played up and down the east coast and overseas in Europe as well. The success of their first E.P. “Word On The Street’’ (then under the name Drive 56) was enough to get the interest of producer Kevin Wesley Williams.January 2010 STOP THE WORLD released Feeding On The Empty their debut cd which includes the tracks enemy,strangeman,firewater and butterfly all which have recieved airplay.
Stop The World proves that good hard rock music that looks you in the eye and kicks you in the ass isn't lost in the City of Brotherly Love.
The sound of Stop The World has been compared to such bands as Guns N' Roses, The Cult, Motley Crue,Mother Love Bone, Velvet Revolver, Godsmack, Alice In Chains, and Stone Temple Pilots.
