19 year old Singer/Songwriter Syla Vale from Brampton, Ontario Canada started her career as a contestant on Canadian Idol at 16, where although she didn’t finish in the top grouping, gained valuable experience in her craft. She’s been writing songs since a very young age, and show a maturity much past her years.
Starting with her popular song, “Not Another Girl”, Syla began to gain attention from music industry professionals. She has played for Gene Simmons of KISS fame and most recently has been a star performer on Much Music’s reality television show “disBAND”. She has also performed in shows with Shiloh, Fall & Divide, and The Free Press to name a few.
Syla has a soulful voice and lyrics which tell stories that bring the listener on an emotional ride, sometimes happy and joyful while other times haunting and sorrowful.
