The Blakes

The Blakes (myself, Gay Elvis, Pete DeGeorge, Chris Thumann, and later Beau Burtnick) led a pretty short but exciting life as a band. We formed in the fall of 2001 under the premise of making unapologetic, over-the-top pop music — it started as more of an outlet for our guilty pleasures than an actual band. In fact, some of us were actually in other bands at the time, and this was more of a side project. But as we began working together, writing, recording, and eventually performing we realized that we really had something special.
