The New Underground

Waltham Massachusetts natives The New Underground have been around for about 4 years now. It started out with Chris, vocalist and guitarist for the band setting up a small studio in his parents basement and recording a 14 song album. After working tirelessly, playing every instrument on the album Chris employed the help of Jamal to tackle some of the drum tracks and ease his work load. They finalized their line-up in 2007 by adding Adam to play bass in,and have been playing music as The New Underground ever since. The New Underground’s indie- pop sound draws influences from all over the spectrum, Jamal’s background is in R&B, gospel, and rap, Adam’s in all things metal, and Chris’s from the rock of the 70’s and 80’s. Together they create cohesive indie-pop songs reminiscent of the 90’s rock we all love. Be sure to keep an eye out for the bands 11 song concept album “Another Year in the Dark” which is being recorded as we speak.
