The Parasols

For years Joseph VanZandt has been known as one of the few rock and roll drummers in his hometown of Hattiesburg, MS. But while he devoted time and energy to the songs and creative dreams of others, his own musical ideas fermented in the dark wine cellar of his soul. Ladies and gentlemen, the cork has been removed. The Parasols is the music of Joseph VanZandt, recorded by Joseph VanZandt, and performed live by a talented group of musicians including Mike Blount (guitar and keyboards), Jimmy Young (bass), and Simon Davenport (drums). The Parasols plan on releasing their first full-length album,"Get Carried Away," in late 2009 or early 2010.
