“Darken all Light and Seduce all Darkness”
Witchbreed was born in 2006 through the hands of Ares (bass) and Dikk (guitar), both long time musical partners found in Ruby's (vox) voice and character the main element for Witchbreed's future path.
In 2007 the promo CD "Descending Fires" was released, containing 4 songs of heavy guitars, darkened drum and bass rhythms all leaded by surely one of the most powerful and seductive voices in today’s Metal music.
"Descending Fires" come out clothed with a blackish and yet fresh atmosphere, displaying mature song writing, skilful arrangements and an uncommon exotic approach to gothic and occult imagery.
"Descending Fires" got Witchbreed innumerous press mentions and raving reviews, which implied the emergent need to take a step further onto the live display level.
Adding Filipe Sousa (guitar) and Tiago "Hollow" Lopes (drums) to their ranks allowed Witchbreed to present a complete live show set of seductive aggressiveness and fierce heaviness, thus the whole 2007 was spent playing live and debuting both songs and complete line up band on stage as opening acts for bands like Samael (sw) and 3rd RoOm (it) in some of the biggest summer fests in Portugal.
Witchbreed's live show took press critics and all audiences by surprise due to the dark energy and furious live acting plus the synergetic antics of Ruby and astonishing vocal performances have established Witchbreed as a genuine and unexpected groundbreaking band in the current Metal scene.
