Members: Jakey Lee (Lead Vox, Guitar, Keys), Taylor Hight (Drums/Percussion, Back Vox)
WORD is an indie pop rock power duo based out of Napa, CA.
For the past three years (under the name "Body or Brain") they've been wowing crowds around the San Francisco Bay Area and up and down the west coast, bringing their high energy shows and unavoidable charisma everywhere they go. Comprised of Jakey Lee and Taylor Hight their shows are like a Hollywood blockbuster: action, romance, suspense, thrills, and yes chills. Lee's command of the stage draws crowds in as he jumps and dances from one end to the other like a kid on a sugar high. His voice runs the full spectrum of emotions and styles. One second he's singing a pop anthem, the next he's onto an R&B jam, all with the same ease and ability. To top it all off he does all this while playing guitar in his signature style--no pick, all thumb--and most recently has added keys to his resume. Taylor Hight backs him up with his unwavering drum technique, adding his personal approach to timeless rhythms.
This is the band that will have you jumping out of your seat and onto the dance floor!!
