Susan Shaughnessy

Susan Shaughnessy has been a poet since childhood, but began putting her words to original music and found her calling in songwriting eight years ago. In that time, she has played to sold out crowds at the famous Bitter End and The Duplex in New York City, recorded an EP with producer Rob Freeman (Gym Class Heroes, Hidden In Plain View), and worked as a session singer for DeFacto Music, Green Thumb Music and MIke Kovacs and the Post-Modern Tribe.  Her honest, relatable lyrics, visceral orchestrations and tell-all takes on personal heartbreak will have you laughing one minute and weeping the next. She also loves hair.
