Raised in Johnson City, Tennessee, near the birthplace of Dolly Parton.
Started singing & playing bass at age 11, influenced by the likes of Carl Perkins, Vince Gill, and many, many others.
He remarks about the Koolaid-Stand at the corner of Greenfield Place in Kingsport, TN and growing up with not a care in the world.....well, back then it was easier...
Moved to Atlanta, Georgia after finishing school and settled in with an all original group "Morris, Vaughn, and Smith" which afforded him the opportunity to work in some state of the art recording studios, meet and perform with some of the already established musicians of the area.
Was a sessions bassist at an Atlanta Premier Studio for 3yrs. And at one time he could be seen/heard along the southeastern coastal area [Gator Circuit], even as far north as Minnesota, and Ontario, Canada.
Relocated to Nashville,TN in 2009 and began settling in.... with several appearances downtown on Broadway, Printer's Alley district, and surrounding area. In 2012, he debut his
first indie charted single "You Got Country" which was spotted at #12 [Indie Music Charts] and in the same year released his first CD "Mexico" . His next single "Everything Going On" was released in 2013, and ALL are currently distributed/available thru CDBaby, as well as Amazon CD/MP3 and iTunes.
Steven continues to work as session bassist and demo vocalist for
SBMusic-Works in Nashville and is relentlessly looking for that one group that he can contribute his style and abilities to, and create something truly special
