Stopped by to listen to this haunting little folky blues piece again... This one just grows on the ears... Fine piece of work... There's always only hand full of songs in this category that really fit... This one's top shelf and always gets my vote...
I don't know if these guys are familiar with Snakefarm. They do techno versions of folky songs like this. I prefer this style, however. There's no pretense here. Solid lyrics, performance and production. Awesome job!
A great harmony track... This has some very fine dobro and banjo plinking that adds a nice deep feeling to this ol' mountain blues piece... Oh Brother Where Art Thou would've loved having this track in their collection... Well done...
You've got such a unique banjo part @ the intro and a vocal that is equally intriguing. I'd like to the hear vox up a touch or more, then again, it could be listening through the site. Harmonies are how I like'em, too, for this genre - not too tight, but blended so well. The right amount of freedom. dang, i've almost made it thru the whole song. "I ain't never coming back". I like it.
