I wrote the song while separated from a loved one. It was my remedy to still feel in touch, to still feel connected with the soul that I knew so well and came to love. Love should never be taken for granted. It is a rare thing to know someone's soul so completely and intimately and to share the depth of your own soul. When you can acknowledge how deeply you know someone and still love them, you know that love is true.
